I am losing count of how many times I have to say that random forums don;t work because they have no focus or topic to draw in members.

Hmm, interesting. It's been up since April 2006... And we would have almost 100,000 posts, but got hacked a couple months ago at around 65,000 and lost everything, but we're already at 23,000

You have been around for years and only have under 40 members.... I dont like the colours either, but thats just personal taste That is a strong 40 active members. There would be a total of probably 700 members if I don't delete the inactive ones. I really cleaned it out the other day, but we were up to 300-something, and I've done that one other time...so yeah, we would have around 700 I do that to keep a small, tight community, rather than a huge amount of inactive members where no one knows each other. And thank you Jessica.

You seem like a good admin actually, but a forum really does have to have a hook or niche that drags people in.

Thanks. And while there is no main topic for the forum, you'd be surprised how many people actually look for a place with randomness haha.

You must have advertised well because there are a hell of a lot of "random forums" out there.

You must have advertised well because there are a hell of a lot of "random forums" out there. Hmm, not really. I mean, it's in Google's index, but that's about it. Like I said, it's been open since April 2006, and has pretty much always been pretty active. iiPod, I don't know. Tov and Tom over here seem to think that my forum sucks, so I don't think it's good enough to have your link on it.

Personally... I despise random forums. I don't know why people make them, or why they'd want to join. There's no point, no purpose, and they're just really lame. Sorreh. Like the layout, though, even if it is SoCal's...

Personally, I despise disrespectful people - the kind of disrespectful people who generalize things and talk down upon things, especially certain things they have not been to. And while there is a point to this forum, there's not a whole lot of 'homework help' going on. A great majority of the posts and activity occur in the off-topic and forum game boards, so in a sense how is this forum any different from a random forum as of yet? And why do you have a problem with me using a template from SoCal? Man, you people need to chill. I do not recall saying, "I need your opinions on my forum"...
