Conduction is when an metal object (e.g steel or copper) transfers the heat energy from the liquid/solid/gas (e.g. tea) and the metal object has the heat.
Insulation is when an object keeps thermal energy hot and stops it from getting cold (e.g polystrene cup for tea).
